Guardian Scholars Program Application

This application is for the Guardian Scholars Program and the Center for Scholars.
 

What is Guardian Scholars? Guardian Scholars is one of six scholar programs that are part of the Center for Scholars at CSUF. The Guardian Scholars program provides support services detailed below for current and former foster youth. The Center for Scholars is located in Gordon Hall - 123 and is open Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.
Resources provided include:

  • Community Enrichment Activities
  • Student Study Spaces
  • Free Printing in the Center

CSUF Guardian Scholars provides the following services:
  • Support with Accessing Year-Round Housing
  • Priority Course Registration
  • Community Enrichment Activities
  • Educational support resources when available. Examples of the support provided can include: Books or Supplies, Parking Permit, Bus Pass, Laptop, support for on-campus housing. Resources may be limited or may take additional time to coordinate.

Applicants will be required to verified their time in care by submitting documentation such as a ward of court letter or foster youth verification letter. If you need help obtaining this documentation please contact your social worker, ILP Coordinator, the county you were in care, or the state.
