Over 40,000 different stories comprise our CSUF community, making us one of the most diverse campuses in the country. To celebrate the power of our many stories, we are happy to announce our inaugural One Book, One CSUF program, a part of our Titans Together initiative. The One Book, One CSUF program will help to create an inclusive campus environment through conversations and engagement among all members of our community. Each year, members of the CSUF community choose a book that explores themes of diversity, inclusion, and equity. Throughout the year, students, faculty and staff will come together for conversations to share stories, invite dialogue, challenge perceptions, and build community.
This year, CSUF chose The Book of the Unknown Americans by Cristina Henríquez, a story that interweaves hopes, dreams, guilt, and love—a book that offers a resonant new definition of what it means to be American.
ALL students, staff, faculty, and administrators are encouraged to participate in the One Book, One CSUF initiative. Readers will have plenty of opportunities to engage during the academic year ‘20-’21, including numerous chances to receive free CSUF swag! In the meantime, kick back and enjoy the book over the summer.
To help us plan for the Fall semester, please take this quick engagement survey. The first 10,000 Titans to take the survey will receive a code for a free digital copy of the common read book. The survey is quick, and you get a FREE book!
