We benefitted from three alumni who all remember what it was like to graduate with a B.A. in history and look for a career. Now, they are working in the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice in San Francisco, investigate human-trafficking rings in Santa Ana and across the country, or handle immigration cases at one of the world’s busiest border stations. These panelists have plenty of good advice on how to get started on a career in federal government, and why you should consider it. Last but not least, we had a senior recruiter from Washington D.C. online with plenty more recommendations and insights on the way history majors and graduates can do jobs they love in federal agencies.
