The Ericksen LGBTQ Grant Program at Cal State Fullerton (CSUF) provides financial assistance to students who have been affected by an unforeseen emergency, crisis, catastrophic event, or personal hardship. This program is designed to assist students who cannot reasonably resolve their financial difficulty through scholarships and/or other financial aid awards. Support may include funds for basic living expenses such as housing, transportation or academic funding due to a loss of familial support (e.g. books, tuition, campus housing, etc.), however priority will be given to applicants that cite a need for financial support related to gender-affirming care, mental healthcare, and/or legal fees associated with name-change requests. The grants are provided at the discretion of the LGBT Queer Resource Center Coordinator in consultation with the Diversity Initiatives & Resource Centers (DIRC) Director. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and, when an application is approved, grants are awarded up to $500 per student per academic year as funds are available.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Must be enrolled and matriculated CSUF student.
2. Must be able to demonstrate an urgent financial need. Supporting documentation is helpful.
3. Must have exhausted all sources of financial assistance.
4. Must meet with the LGBT Queer Resource Center Coordinator to discuss the grant application.

All eligible students are encouraged to apply. The LGBT Queer Resource Center does not consider gender identity, sexual orientation or any other protected status as part of the application and selection process for the grant.
Do you have any documentation as it relates to the crisis? (examples: eviction notice, medical bill, termination of services, etc)
Have you accepted all of your available financial aid including grants AND loans?
