Welcome to the CSUF History Department's Careers in History Webinar - Libraries, Archives, and Research

Please click on the embedded video above to begin this recorded career webinar.

This session draws on the insights and experiences of four recent History MA alumni (2012) who continued to receive their Library Science degrees and went on to work in libraries in regional colleges and research universities across the nation. Their experience show that historical thinking and methods are ideal foundations for becoming an expert in research methods - whether this centers on book collections or electronic resources. Rather than a relic of the past, these panelists show that librarians and archivists are experts that will be of crucial importance in the future, and their discussions of their work in the digital humanities should be an inspiration not just for students, but faculty as well.
