Titan takeover

Titan Takeover: Career Exploration Program Overview

Titan Takeover: Career Exploration Program will take place during the month of April 2025. The date of the experience will be determined by the employer and student you are matched with.

The intent of Titan Takeover: Career Exploration Program is to provide students with an opportunity to connect with employers/alumni as a way to explore various career paths and gain first-hand insight into an organization’s culture, structure, operations, and day-to-day activities.

The Titan Takeover Career Exploration Program is a hybrid model. Employers can choose whether they want to host a virtual and/or in-person experience.

Virtual versions of Titan Takeover are intended to provide a series of Virtual Informational Interviews and meet & greets for students. The Virtual engagements are required to be no more than 1- 2 hours total.

If you would prefer to host a Titan In-Person, you may choose to do so. In-person engagements tend to be either 1/2 day or full day engagements and can include in-person meet & greets, panels with different departments, and tours of your space.

Titan Takeover is intended for purely educational purposes and not to serve as a precursor to a job or internship
However, it is a great opportunity to meet potential candidates and advertise any internships your organization offers.

Please note the time with your Titan(s) will NOT serve as a job interview

After you apply, you will be matched with student(s) that best fit the preferences you indicate in this application. This matching process will happen in February, and is based upon student and employer preferences alike.

Once your application is under review, you can expect a call from the Career Center!

We will begin reviewing Host Applications as soon as applications are received

 through Friday, January 10th

On this application you will answer these questions:

  1. Will your engagements be held virtually or in person?
  2. How many Titans would you like to host?
  3. Which major(s) and class year(s) are you willing to host?

Please note the actual date and time of the engagement will be decided between the host (you) and your matched Titan. Once we match the students and provide contact information, students will be responsible to reach out to plan logistics. If you are matched with more than one Titan, you may determine the date as the host.

Matching Process:

Once a student has been matched with an organization they will be required to reach out to their designated host and introduce themselves, confirm date(s), and discuss the structure of the experience.

Due to high volumes of both hosts and students, we cannot accommodate specific student match requests based on recruiting preferences.
