The University Honors Program offers students an academically enriching experience. Students join a community of other high-achieving students and have the opportunity to benefit from smaller classes, priority registration, and the support of staff and a Center committed to their success. All students, regardless of race, sex, color, ethnicity, national origin or any other protected status are welcome to apply to the University Honors Program.
Admission Criteria
1) A 3.6 weighted GPA for grades 10, 11 and first semester of grade 12
2) Be a student who is committed to academic excellence, creativity, and critical thinking.
3) Complete the application
You will be asked to provide the following information to complete the application.
You will also be required to upload copies of your transcripts to our system (unofficial copies are fine - we are unable to access your transcripts that you submitted as part of your application to the University). You will submit these documents at the end of this application via a secure Dropbox link.
Please note that incomplete applications will not be submitted by our system. You will receive a confirmation notice at the end of this survey once it is completed and submitted. Applications are reviewed by our leadership team and you will receive word of our decision to your CSUF email address.

- Information on any AP exams (completed or planned)
- Two essays (300-600 words per essay)
- 1. Discuss how your background, experiences, or a particular aspect of your identity has shaped who you are today. How will this contribute to the community of the University Honors program?
- 2. Explain a topic or project that you have pursued with great passion. What steps did you take to explore this project? Why does this topic interest you and how has it impacted your academic goals?
